Joy on the Open Road

Conversations from the Open Road, a Vermont nonprofit that has worked on projects with YWP, is inviting Vermont high school and college students to join a digital storytelling crew on a road trip across the U.S. in August – in search of joy! There are fees, but scholarships are also available. To find out more about the nonprofit, directed by former Vermont teacher Mary Simons, and to get more details about this trip, go here.

YWP Site Updates

Launch Date News: Our launch of the new site is now scheduled for Aug. 17! The site will be down for a bit before and after the launch, but we'll give you more details as the day approaches. Thanks for your patience as we work on this major project for YWP!

We're excited that the new site will make YWP even more welcoming and accessible to young writers and artists. Over the past year, and intensively this summer, we have been redesigning and updating the site with a new Drupal platform and improved accessibility. Thanks to our web partners at Tamarack Media Cooperative for all their creative and expert tech work on the site! Tamarack also designed the new YWP logo featuring the "Corvid" (the raven and crow family), reflecting YWP’s creativity and playfulness.
